I was in my room and I called my great grandma  and I interviewed  her and she is ~73. Her nickname is Snooke but her actual name is Elinor.

Snook is African American and she is kind of short. She wears a wig because her actual hair is pretty short. She has brown eyes. She is a really nice lady and a very caring person. She sounds like the average African American grandma and her voice is awesome and really nice to listen to. She is a pretty happy person and she is really funny. She is also pretty good at cooking. She can get talky at some moments but other than that she is an amazing person.

Jacob- “Hey Snooke I was wondering if I can interview you for a school project?”
Snook-“Depends how long it is I am about to go to the foot doctor”
    Jacob-“It is only five questions”
    Snook- “Oh okay”
Jacob-“What was your favorite hobby as a kid?”
Snook-“My favorite hobby when I was a kid? Oh boy that was 70 years ago haha”
Snook-“I used to take those pop bottles make dolls out of pop bottles because I didn’t have the real dolls and that was a hobby I used to do I would do that and I liked to draw so that was one of my favorite hobbies as a kid and I can’t really think of something else because I don't remember”

Jacob-“The next question is how did you meet your husband?”
Snook-“I went to school with him”

Jacob-“The next question is what is your favorite memory as a kid?”
Snook-“Oh gosh I don’t remember much but I guess playing softball and stuff like that and those are some of my favorite memories as a kid”

Jacob-“And the next question is what is your worst memory as a kid?”
Snook-“I can’t remember any bad memories as a kid all I remember is good ones”
Jacob-“Oh like do you have any embarrassing ones?”
    Snook-“Yea I do remember”
    Jacob-“What is it?”
Snook-“Me and my friends were all riding bikes after school and one of those things that hold the part of the roof and I was looking back and I hit that thing and I was embarrassed because everyone was laughing and they didn’t know that it hurt.”
    Jacob-“Oh that sucks”

Jacob-“Where did you grow up in?”
Snook-“I grew up in Bakersfield California but I was originally born in Louisiana”
Jacob-“How was growing up in Bakersfield and Louisiana?”
Snook-“I don't remember the part in Louisiana because we moved to California when I was 6 years old”
Jacob-“Oh so how was growing up in Bakersfield?”
Snook-“Oh I thought it was nice you know what I mean? Because when I went to school I met a lot of really nice people that became my lifetime friends, and I can really look back at it now and that was my favorite part in my life is when I was growing up in Bakersfield and all the kids that I met during
that time.”
Jacob-“All right that was all the questions.”
Snook-“Ok honey you have a very very good day I love you”
Jacob-“Ok I love you too, bye.”
    Snook-“Bye.”

I learned a little bit about my Grandma's past and what she liked to do and her past sounded pretty cool. I didn’t know that Snook was born in Bakersfield that was pretty surprising to me. I thought that that embarrassing story was pretty funny and over all my great grandma is a great person and her personality is awesome. Another thing that surprised me was her hobbies I thought that she would have like rode her bikes with her friends or doing something along those lines. And I also want to know more about how her and her husband met and I realized now that I should have asked more follow up questions. And again overall my great grandmothers history was really interesting to learn about.

Dally: “…Crazy for wanting Johnny to stay outa trouble, for not wantin’ him to get hard.  If he’d been like me he’d never have been in this mess.  If he’d got smart like me he’d never have run into that church.  That’s what you get for helpin’ people.  Editorials in the paper and a lot of trouble… You’d better wise up, Pony… you get tough like me and you don’t get hurt.  You look out for yourself and nothin’ can touch you…”

I fell like Dally wouldn't Is saying that because he cares for Johnny he saved some of the kids anyways but he is saying that because pretty much the only thing he cares about is Johnny and he doesn't want him to get hurt. That's why he said "If he'd got smart like me he'd never ran into that church" is because he does not want Johnny to die.
